A heartwarming Christmas atmosphere
As in previous years, we held a Christmas lunch for the children. Already in the school year 2018/19 we entertained about 250 children on campus and brought joy to their faces. This year, thanks to numerous donors, we were financially able to cook a good meal for about 100 children at Ban Nong Kung School. Many longtime friends of Volunt2Thai had already met in the morning on December 14 and 15 at the Volunt2Thai campus to prepare food for the children together with the volunteers. Already the day before, the needed food was procured with our flatbed truck in Udon Thani.
We would like to thank all the helpers, donors and supporters, friends of Volunt2Thai for their help and support to make this day a special day for the children. Thank you for all the gifts you brought.
The gifts consisted of learning and writing materials, lovingly wrapped in gift packages. There were also useful things like school socks, soccer balls, basketball balls and volleyballs, but also cookies, chocolate sweets and drinks.
Thank you very much, it was nice that we were able to celebrate this wonderful end of year party together with the children. We were also able to provide Christmas decorations and the children had decorated the school for Christmas together with the teachers.
There was also a Christmas tree and one could feel a heartwarming Christmas atmosphere. The children had fun and could eat their fill. In addition, they also received food packages to take home. Thank you to all the people, thank you to the teachers and all the donors. Without you kind-hearted people we would not have been able to realize this project, this action.
