Establishment of a Food Forest and Wildlife Protection Project
Since the beginning of the year 2022 we have been planning and building a "Food Forest" it is a project that will last for years. We would like to reforest 1.5 hectares of forest. The forests had to give way to rice and sugar cane, there was an extreme amount of illegal logging. Many wild animals were lost and are threatened. There are only a few refugial areas and food for rare animals and plants left. This forest should not only be a green lung and provide cool air in the dry season, but also food for animals and people.
It will become a mixed forest of many useful trees and plants with about 100 different species. The mature trees will be planted with treated root balls. It needs many different species of trees so that bees can also be reintroduced. Bees are almost extinct in our country side because they could not find food!
