Legrich Tecklenburg School Supports Our Children in Thailand
Our special school partnership between Legrich Tecklenburg School in Germany and Ban Nong Kung School in Thailand has existed since 2021. We are very grateful for this long-standing connection and the continued support for the children here in rural Thailand.
In September, Legrich Tecklenburg School donated €462 (434 Euro in July and 462 Euro in September in total 896 Euro!). A dear friend, whom we will simply call Peter, generously doubled the donation from September. This allowed us to make several important improvements at the Volunt2Thai Campus just before our Summer School during the October school holidays.
A new drum kit was purchased to replace our old one, which had been used by hundreds of children over many years. We also ordered new Corner Pads for our Muay Thai boxing ring. The old pads had become heavily worn after years outdoors and intensive use. The new pads are currently being specially made for our existing ring. Our next challenge will be replacing the ring canvas, which already has numerous cracks after years of use.
