A heartfelt thank you to a long-time supporter

A Necessary Repair at the Volunt2Thai Campus Maintaining the Volunt2Thai Campus is an important part of our work. Not every project involves building something new – sometimes it is simply about repairing what is already there and keeping the facilities safe and functional.

Recently, a wastewater pipe behind our sanitary facilities, used by both children and international project participants, broke. Wastewater could no longer flow properly into the septic tank and was leaking behind the building. During the rainy season, the soft ground made a permanent repair impossible. We therefore had to use a temporary solution until the conditions allowed us to carry out the work properly.
Thanks to a donation from our long-time friend and supporter J.L., who prefers to remain anonymous, we were finally able to replace the damaged pipe. A concrete surface was also added to the area, making it cleaner, safer and much easier to maintain.
We sincerely thank J.L. for his trust and support. 🙏

A place for children during the school holidays
The timing of the repair is particularly important because the Volunt2Thai Summer School is taking place during the school holidays.
Many children in our local communities live in poverty and have limited opportunities for activities and play at home. During the holidays, the Volunt2Thai Campus becomes a place where they can learn, play, take part in activities, spend time with friends and simply enjoy being children.

The campus offers space for sports, games, creative activities, learning and cultural exchange. At the same time, international project participants have the opportunity to experience everyday life in rural Thailand and become part of the local community.
For this reason, keeping our facilities clean, safe and functional is just as important as the activities themselves.
A functioning bathroom, a clean campus or a repaired pipe may seem like small things – but they help create a safe and welcoming place for children and everyone who spends time at Volunt2Thai.

New Corner Pads for Our Muay Thai Boxing Ring 🥊🇹🇭

Support from Gesamtschule Lengerich/Tecklenburg for Volunt2Thai

Our Muay Thai boxing ring at Volunt2Thai in rural Thailand has received new corner pads. The purchase was made possible through the long-standing support of Gesamtschule Lengerich/Tecklenburg, which has been supporting our project since 2021.

This year, the school raised a total of €897.74 for Volunt2Thai through various activities and collections.

The donations help us continue our campus activities and support for children and young people in the rural communities around Volunt2Thai, as well as finance necessary equipment and maintenance.

Sport, Community and Activity

The Muay Thai boxing ring is a permanent part of our campus. It gives children and young people an opportunity to exercise, release energy and be active together. Sport and training can also help develop values such as discipline, perseverance and respect.

Other funds have been used, among other things, to replace our drum set in the music room, cover electricity costs for air conditioning in our common and teaching areas, and maintain the campus.

Thank You for Your Support ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to all students, parents, teachers and everyone else supporting Gesamtschule Lengerich/Tecklenburg!

It means a great deal to us that people thousands of kilometres away are thinking about the children in this rural part of Thailand and supporting Volunt2Thai.

From Gesamtschule Lengerich/Tecklenburg to Volunt2Thai – together for the children. ❤️🇩🇪🇹🇭

Legrich Tecklenburg School Supports Our Children in Thailand

Our special school partnership between Legrich Tecklenburg School in Germany and Ban Nong Kung School in Thailand has existed since 2021. We are very grateful for this long-standing connection and the continued support for the children here in rural Thailand.

In September, Legrich Tecklenburg School donated €462  (434 Euro in July and 462 Euro in September in total 896 Euro!). A dear friend, whom we will simply call Peter, generously doubled the donation from September. This allowed us to make several important improvements at the Volunt2Thai Campus just before our Summer School during the October school holidays.

During the holidays, even more children come to our campus. They take part in learning, music, sports, creative activities and games, supported by our project participants and volunteers.
A new drum kit was purchased to replace our old one, which had been used by hundreds of children over many years. We also ordered new Corner Pads for our Muay Thai boxing ring. The old pads had become heavily worn after years outdoors and intensive use. The new pads are currently being specially made for our existing ring. Our next challenge will be replacing the ring canvas, which already has numerous cracks after years of use.

A heartfelt thank you to the students, teachers, parents and everyone at Legrich Tecklenburg School who helped make this support possible. Your contribution is being turned directly into facilities and activities that children can use and enjoy.
Thank you for being part of the Volunt2Thai story since 2021! ❤️
Whatever we do – we do it for the children.

Alf Poier Eurovision Song Contest Winner

Alf Poier Visits Volunt2Thai – A Meaningful Encounter

It was a special moment for our project: Alf Poier, known for his appearance at the Eurovision Song Contest, visited Volunt2Thai.

His visit was more than just a stop along the way. He brought curiosity, openness, and a genuine interest in what we do—qualities that are invaluable in our daily work. People like him have the ability to build bridges: between cultures, between different realities of life, and between individuals who might otherwise never meet.

Why His Visit Mattered

Volunt2Thai is built on exchange. Our projects in rural Northern Thailand depend on people who don’t just come to help, but who are willing to understand. When someone like Alf Poier takes the time to be present, to listen, and to experience daily life on the ground, it sends a powerful message:

Social engagement is not about status or profession—it’s about mindset.

His presence inspired our volunteers and strengthened the local community. For many children and young people, it was a unique experience to meet someone from a completely different world who still connected with them on an equal level.

Real Encounters Beyond Surface Impressions

Thailand is often seen as a paradise destination. But behind the images lies a daily reality with real challenges. This is exactly where Volunt2Thai comes in—through shared work, learning, and living.

Alf Poier’s visit highlighted how important it is to make this reality visible—not through big words, but through presence, interest, and genuine human connection.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We sincerely thank Alf Poier for his time, his openness, and his willingness to engage. Encounters like this are what give our project life and long-term impact.

They remind us that real change begins the moment people are willing to truly connect.

Small things that make a big difference…

Sometimes, it’s the small things that make a big difference…

Paul & Phoenix from the USA are currently volunteering with us and staying for a couple of weeks here at the Volunt2Thai campus. During their time with us, they quickly saw what daily life looks like: wide open spaces, many trees, tropical weather—and plenty of leaves and dust, especially during the dry season after strong winds or rain.

Wanting to help in a practical way, they surprised us with a thoughtful gift: an electric blower. 🙏🇺🇸

Since then, our daily routine has changed. What used to take a lot of time and effort is now easier, faster—and even quieter. Together with the children and our volunteers, we keep the campus clean, take care of our outdoor gym, and make sure this place remains welcoming for everyone. And yes—it’s even fun. 😊

This simple gesture reflects what Volunt2Thai is all about:
People come as guests to a Thai village, learn from the locals, and support children in the village and local schools.

Everyone brings something—time, skills, energy, or simply an open heart.

Whether it’s sports, yoga, teaching, music, working with nature, or even cooking with fresh ingredients from the garden—something real is created here: connection, exchange, and shared experience.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life—recent graduates, teachers, families, retirees—and they leave with memories that last a lifetime.

Thank you, Paul & Phoenix, for being part of this story. 💚

Happy New Year, Frohes Neues Jahr

🇬🇧 2025 Review below ....

Danke, dass ihr Teil von Volunt2Thai seid 🌍💛
Gemeinsam machen wir den Unterschied.

🇬🇧 2025 Review – Thank You from the Bottom of Our Hearts ✨🙏

2025 was a year full of commitment, meaningful encounters and real impact. Together, we delivered hundreds of hours of English and general education classes, reaching around 650 children 📚✨. For many of them, it was the very first time meeting a non-Thai, English-speaking person.

Many schools in our region face serious staff shortages. English teachers are often missing completely, budgets are very limited, and in some cases even daily meals for children are not guaranteed 🍚💔. That’s why the support we achieved together was so incredibly valuable.

A heartfelt thank you to all families, groups, volunteers, donors, supporters and friends ❤️🙏. Thank you for your time, energy, trust and commitment – you made real change possible.

Beyond education, a lot happened on an infrastructure level 🛠️🌱: buildings were renovated, sanitary facilities expanded, roofs renewed, flood protection improved and our Food Forest continuously maintained. A special highlight was the realization of a multimedia setup for the children’s clubhouse 🎥💻.

Important projects were also implemented for the schools and children: a playground at Ban Nong Kung School 🛝, a swimming practice area at Ban Kon Liab School (funded and currently in planning) 🏊‍♂️, plus the distribution of 120 footballs ⚽, sports equipment and school supplies. A shared Christmas meal brought many smiling faces at the end of the year 🎄✨.

Our cooperation with the German School Lengerich/Tecklenburg was successfully completed 🤝📘. Another highlight before the end of the year was Nicki’s boxing match – respect and applause for this brave young man 🥊👏.

So much happened in 2025 – and we’re sure we may have forgotten to mention something. It was simply a lot, in the best possible way 💛.

Thank you to everyone supporting our work for future generations. We wish you love, joy and good health 💫.
Wishing you a great start into 2026! 🎆

Thank you for being part of Volunt2Thai 🌍💛
Together, we make a difference.

**A heartfelt thank you to FS Consulting!**

FS Consulting took the initiative – and many dear friends joined in to help. Thanks to this wonderful support, we were able to purchase **a total of 300 kg of rice** for the disadvantaged children at the schools supported by Volunt2Thai.

A special thank you goes to **Stefan Fabro / FS Consulting**, your German-speaking partner in Pattaya, Thailand, for **visa services, bank accounts, driver’s licenses, Schengen visas, company registration, marriage services, and much more**.
Their generous donation made this fantastic start possible. FS Consulting is not only a successful company in Pattaya but also socially committed – and we are truly grateful for this valuable partnership. **Thank you so much!**

While a large part of the donation came from FS Consulting, laying the foundation for this support, we would also like to express our gratitude to our dear friends:
**Thank you, Thomas.
Thank you, Ferdy.
Thank you, Rob.**

Together, we were able to make something truly meaningful happen today. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🙏❤️
